A WWII Novel of Faith and Sacrifice

Coming Soon - October 2025

About the Book

In the skies over the Pacific, courage flew with no fanfare.

Million Dollar Smile follows Paul Carlson, a civilian radio operator for the Air Transport Command during World War II. As he embarks on perilous transpacific missions, Paul must navigate more than the dangers of war—he also faces separation from his new bride, the weight of duty, and questions of faith in the face of loss.

Inspired by the true story of the author’s grandfather, this poignant novel blends historical accuracy with emotional storytelling. Through the bonds of brotherhood and the quiet resilience of unsung heroes, Million Dollar Smile explores how ordinary people can rise to extraordinary challenges—and how even in the darkest moments, hope endures.

Based on historical records, family recollections, letters, and research into the Pacific air routes used during the war, this is a tribute to those who served behind the front lines—and those who waited for them to return.
